These Terms explain how you may use dualtype.design and our services. By browsing the site, creating an account, or buying fonts, you’re agreeing to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
What we do. DualType is a type foundry based in Guadalajara, Jalisco, México. We publish and sell typefaces and related resources.
Font licenses. Buying a font gives you a license to use it—not ownership of the font software. Each purchase is governed by the End User License Agreement (EULA) shown at checkout and/or included with the files. If anything here conflicts with the EULA, the EULA controls for that font.
Using the site. You can browse freely. If you create an account or place an order, you promise the info you provide is accurate and you’ll keep your login secure. Our services aren’t for children under 13.
Orders & payments. Prices and availability can change. Taxes may apply depending on where you live. Payments are processed by Stripe; we don’t store full card numbers. Once digital files are delivered, returns are generally not possible (laws in your region may give you additional rights). If something’s broken or you downloaded the wrong files, contact us, we’ll help.
Delivery & updates. We deliver fonts digitally (download links and/or email). From time to time we may post updates or fixes. We’re not obligated to maintain every prior version, but we aim to keep things accessible and usable.
What you can’t do. Don’t break the law, harm our service, or misuse our work. That includes:
- violating the EULA or any third-party rights,
- trying to copy, decompile, or reverse engineer the site or font software (except where the law lets you),
- using bots or scrapers in ways that overload the site,
- trying to bypass security or license restrictions.
Content & IP. Everything on the site—including text, images, and font software—is owned by DualType or our licensors and protected by copyright and other laws. You may not reuse it without permission, except as allowed by the applicable EULA or by fair-use or mandatory exceptions in your country. “DualType” and our logos are trademarks of DualType.
Third-party services. We rely on trusted providers (for example, Stripe for payments and Mailchimp for newsletters). Your use of their features may be subject to their terms and privacy policies. Links on our site may lead to other websites—we’re not responsible for those.
Account changes or termination. We can suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or the EULA, or that pose a security or legal risk. You can close your account anytime by contacting us; doing so doesn’t cancel existing licenses or obligations.
Disclaimers. We provide the site and services “as is” and “as available.” While we work hard to keep things accurate and online, we can’t promise they’ll be error-free or uninterrupted.
Liability limits. To the maximum extent the law allows, DualType won’t be liable for indirect or consequential damages (like lost profits or data). Our total liability for any claim related to the site or services is capped at the greater of USD $100 or what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don’t allow certain limits—if that’s you, those limits apply only as far as your law permits.
Indemnity. If your misuse of the site, fonts, or services causes us legal trouble, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses.
Governing law & disputes. These Terms are governed by the laws of Mexico. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of Guadalajara, Jalisco, unless a different forum is required by the consumer laws where you live. Your non-waivable consumer rights are not affected.
Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll change the “Last updated” date above; continued use of the site means you accept the new Terms.
